“Making the Revolution: America, 1763-1789” will explore these and other questions through history, literature, and art. Under the direction of leading scholars, institute participants will examine how and why the British changed the rules by which they governed their American colonies.

The institute is open to high school teachers of history, literature, and art.
Participants will receive a stipend of $1,000. The National Humanities Center will cover the cost of travel and provide lodging.
“Making the Revolution: America” will be held from June 23 to July 4, 2008, at the National Humanities Center in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina.
