The University of Kentucky invites paper and panel proposals for its annual conference to be held April 4-5th 2008. The symposium aims to bring together graduate and advanced undergraduate students who are engaged in the study of history and methodology as well as other fields including, but not limited to, literary criticism, political science, sociology, anthropology, and geography. Work on Kentucky is especially desired.
To submit a proposal for a paper and/or session, send a one-page abstract for each paper and a one-page C.V. for each participant. Panel proposals should include two or three presenters and a commentator. Abstracts should be approximately 200 – 400 words, typed and double-spaced. Email submissions are encouraged and will be accepted until February 22, 2008.
Prizes for best undergraduate and graduate paper will be presented. Additional awards for Kentucky history may be sponsored.
