Proposals are still being accepted for the Collecting, Collectibles, Collectors, Collections Area. Listed below are some suggestions for possible presentations, but topics not included here are also welcome:
* museum theory/curatorial theory
* private collections
* early American collections and Americana
* cultural productions of the archive (including fundraising archival events such as anti-slavery fairs)
* collections of Native American, African American, Asian American, and Latina/o cultures(and others)
* collections dedicated to archiving American immigrant experiences
* gender and museum representation
* anatomical museums and collections
* postmodern collections
* interactive museums and exhibitions
* offbeat museums
* museums/collections and literature
* museums/collections and film
Scholars, teachers, professionals and others are encouraged to participate. Graduate students are particularly welcome, with award opportunities for the best graduate papers.
