We invite papers for a panel on Food and the Literary Imagination for the 39th annual meeting of the CEA. The conference theme is “Passages,” and some suggested topics for this panel are aspects of food in regard to travel, rites of passage, heroic quests, mythic journeys, coming-of-age, and so forth. Discussion may include fiction, non- fiction, poetry, drama, or film.
Proposals should be submitted via the online database at http://english.ttu.edu/cea/conftool by November 1, 2007.
When you submit your proposal, you may use a pull-down menu to indicate your topic. Indicate at that pull-down menu that your submission should be directed to Walter Levy, chair of the Food and Literary Imagination panel. For questions relating to the panel, you may contact Walter at wlevy129@gmail.
To preserve time for discussion, CEA limits presentations to 15 minutes.
