The 59th Conference of the International Commission for the History of Parliaments and Representative Institutions will be held on 9th-12th July 2008 in Alghero, Sardinia (Italy).
The conference themes are:
1 - Sources and methodology for the study of parliamentary history;
2 - Parliaments and political culture from the Middle Ages to the present day;
3 - Territorial identity, autonomy and representative institutions;
4 - Parliaments and the building of National State;
5 - Parliaments and media.
The organiser of the conference is: Prof. Francesco Soddu (University of Sassari).
Further information to participants will be sent out after the deadline for registration and proposals of conference papers. January 31st 2008.
