Synagogues in Germany: A Virtual Reconstruction recreates the architecture of Germany’s lost synagogues. Through the use of computer aided design (CAD), synagogues destroyed by the Nazi regime have been virtually recreated in beautiful graphics that provide viewers with a three-dimensional, multi-vantage point experience of the original buildings. Join us for a demonstration of these graphics and animations, created by scholars and students at the Darmstadt University of Technology, Germany, and a discussion of the legacy of Jewish architecture in Germany.
