AERA Division F: History and Historiography Mentoring Seminar
Sunday, March 23 and Monday, March 24
For Graduate Students and Junior Faculty

On Sunday, March 23rd, 2008 (the evening before the opening day of the AERA annual meeting) and Monday, March 24th, 2008 (the morning of the opening day of the AERA annual meeting), a group of historians of education will hold a mentoring seminar for graduate students and junior faculty members. Sunday evening will feature a panel discussion led by educational historians reflecting on their careers and the choices they have made. Monday morning will feature roundtable discussions in which issues of concern to graduate students and junior faculty will be discussed, such as graduate training, job searches, teaching, and publishing.
ALL junior faculty members and graduate students who are members of AERA Division F are encouraged to apply. Priority will be given to junior faculty within 4 years of degree completion and to graduate students who have completed their course work. Dinner is provided for Sunday, March 23rd and breakfast for Monday, March 24th. AERA will reimburse attendees for Sunday night’s lodging.
