Research on the Smart Border Agreement and Human Rights in Canada
Call for Papers Date:
The Canadian Human Rights Commission seeks proposals for a report that reviews national and international approaches used to establish the identity of people and the human rights implications of each of these approaches in the context of national security.
The review should discuss the discriminatory impact, if any, and possible justifications of each approach on the groups that are protected by the Canadian Human Rights Act. The analysis should also include a review of existing jurisprudence.
Deadline for submissions of proposals is November 2, 2007.
