The Center for African Peace and Conflict Resolution and California State University, Sacramento invites submissions of proposal(s) to present and participate at the 17th Annual Africa conference.The conference examines the state of African youth in the USA and Africa, with a focus on discussing inter/intra- cultural/group challenges, examine the prospects for bridging the gaps among/between generations of the African youth, and identify the best practices and models for youth empowerment, leadership development, crime prevention, networking, as well as stability of the family.
Dates: May 1-3, 2008
Papers/Proposals that are based on Case studies and best practices are highly invited: e.g. youth development and leadership, peer relations, US-Africa youth study abroad exchanges; crime prevention and peacebuilding/peacemaking, peace education; African youth parenting; family; etc.
In your proposal submission, include paper title, 50-75 word abstract, your full name, mailing address, email, phone and fax, your current position/title and institution.
