Semiotic Society of America meets Oct. 16-19 in Houston TX at Renaissance Gateway Hotel. An interdisciplinary group which welcomes historians. Looking for papers (30 mins. each) dealing with historical topics; people with a general interest who are not familiar with the theoretical aspects are welcome to attend or submit proposals of one-two paragraphs by February 1, 2008. Please contact William Pencak, former President (2000-2001) of the SSA, at wap1@psu.edu, who is organizing the historical panels.
