Original, unpublished papers that study all aspects of baseball with particular emphasis on history and social policy implications are invited. Abstracts only, not to exceed two pages, should be submitted by December 1, 2007, to:

Email abstracts are preferred. Authors will be notified as quickly as possible if their papers have been accepted. Authors are required to register for the conference and present their work in person.
The conference will have limited registration and include morning sessions, a Saturday evening banquet, and opportunities for afternoon field research.
KEYNOTE SPEAKER: Lee Lowenfish
Lee Lowenfish is the author of the new biography Branch Rickey: Baseballs Ferocious Gentleman (University of Nebraska Press, 2007). His earlier books include two editions of The Imperfect Diamond: A History of Baseballs Labor Wars and Tom Seaver's The Art of Pitching. His articles and commentaries have appeared in the New York Times, the Village Voice, the New York Daily News, Newsday, and on National Public Radio and Pacifica Radio.
