We are delighted to announce that the conference ‘Journeys into Madness: Representing Mental Illness in the Arts and Sciences, 1850-1930’ will take place at the Wellcome Collection Conference Centre, London, on 11 and 12 October 2007. This conference has been supported by the University of Plymouth, the Wellcome Trust and the British Academy. We hope we can interest you in joining us for 2 days of academic papers, discussion and refreshments, with an evening reception and plenary lecture by Steven Beller on 11 October.
