Proposals are invited for presentation of scholarship, demonstrations, workshops, round-tables, works-in-progress on all aspects of Minnesota history in particular (on the occasion of its 150th anniversary of statehood), as well as the theory and practice of state history more generally. Conference to be held in Collegeville, MN, May 28-30, 2008 (followed by 2 day writing retreat to prepare submissions for a collection of proceedings). Individual or group proposals welcome. Some travel subventions available and on-campus housing. Submit proposals electronically (Word, please) including title, brief abstracts, format, one-page vita for each participant. Deadline: January 15, 2008. Conference sponsored by Saint John’s University, College of St. Benedict, Stearns History Museum, Minnesota Historical Society.
