The theme for the Michigan Council for History Education's 14th Annual Conference is "History Curriculum, Alignment, and Assessment with the New Content Expectations," and will be held on Wednesday, November 7, 2007 from 8:30 to 3:30 at the Kellogg Center at Michigan State University in East Lansing. Key speakers will include Bob Bain and Stan Masters, coordinators for the new Michigan Department of Education's Social Studies Content Expectations, as well as other Michigan Department of Education officials and prominent specialists in K-12 social studies teaching.
