University of British Columbia, Vancouver, BC, June 1-3, 2008. The Canadian Society of Church History (CSCH) invites proposals for session themes, panel discussions and papers from scholars working in the area of the history of Christianity in Canada, as well as the history of Christianity in other geopolitical contexts. Proposals may address the theme for the 2008 Congress of the Humanities and Social Sciences, which is “Thinking Beyond Borders – Global Ideas: Global Values" (http://www.fedcan.ca/congress2008/).
The CSCH is dedicated to promoting and encouraging research in the history of Christianity, particularly the history of Christianity in Canada. Since its founding in 1960, the society’s annual meetings have provided a forum for historians of Christianity to present and discuss their research in a welcoming and supportive ethos. The society encourages junior scholars, especially graduate students, to present papers.
Please submit one-page proposals and a brief CV (no more than one-page) to the programme chair:
