The Writing Center at the Hellenic American University, in collaboration with the Center for Applied Linguistics and Language Studies of the Hellenic American Union, is organizing an International Writing Centers Conference entitled Revisioning Tomorrow’s Writing Center: Roles, Practices, Audiences on the 9th and 10th of November, 2007 in Athens, GR. The Conference brings together leading specialists on Writing Centers from Europe, the US and Asia in plenary talks and panel discussions.By organizing this International Writing Centers Conference, the Conference Organizers’ goal is to provide a forum in which to address the use of writing centers as tutoring and classroom environments, to highlight the key role of technology, to clarify as well as examine all academic and administrative issues, and to define the working relationship between the Writing Centers and the communities they serve.
