The Popular Music section of the Southwest/Texas Popular Culture and American Culture Association invites proposals for panels and papers on all aspects and time periods of American popular music. Interdisciplinary papers and panels in alternative formats (films, performance, roundtables, etc.), are welcomed, as are panels composed of or including graduate students. All submissions should be sent by e-mail. When submitting a paper or session proposal, include an abstract that outlines the purpose of the paper or session. Each paper proposal, whether individual or part of a session, should include a one-page abstract, a one-page c.v., and an address, phone number, and e-mail for each participant. Please indicate audio/visual needs in your proposal. The deadline for all submissions is November 15, 2008.
