This panel seeks to understand how Buddhism broadly defined works as a method (for what?), as a set of cultural forms and traditions (for whom?),or as an occasionally-fashionable meme useful to a multiplicity of purposes in the United States. While the panel is open to a broad selection of approaches and topics, submissions should consider these phenomena in the context of cultural and social production in America.
