College English Association invites papers on Literature and War for the 39th meeting of CEA, March 27-29, 2008. Papers should examine American literature that addresses our national romantic myth of war, the reality of war on the individual or the gap between the two that makes war possible. Special consideration will be given to papers that address the literature of our two most recent wars: Vietnam and Iraq. Proposals should be submitted via the on-line database at http://english.ttu.edu/cea/conftool by November 1, 2007. When you submit your proposal, you may use a pull-down menu to indicate your topic. Indicate at the pull-down menu that your submission should be directed to me, meg Woolbright, chair of the Literature and War panel.
