SPARTA magazine is seeking contributions from people with a genuine interest in the broad range of topics it covers. These include both ancient and contemporary Greek history, architecture, as well as socio-political, military and gender issues. In particular for the next issue we would welcome articles on the women of Sparta and Mycaenean Sparta.
Usually we publish three categories of material: comments of up to 1000 words, more extensive essays up to 3000 words, and finally longer analyses up from 4000-6000 words. In all these we are looking for some original and provocative thoughts.
References should be implemented in the text using the Harvard system, i.e. author, date, page system. References must be listed at the end alphabetically.
We welcome proposals of articles through a message or an email to the Editor at SPARTA, The Hive, Nottingham Trent University, Burton Street, Nottingham NG1 4BU, UK or Sparta@markoulakispublications.org.uk
