The 14th Century Society seeks paper proposals for the International Congress on Medieval Studies, to be held at Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo, Michigan, May 8-11, 2008, on topics related to "Gravity and Levity." These terms are meant not only as emotional states, but also as physical ones (as in "levitation"). Papers dealing with some aspect of "Gravity and Levity" in art history, religious studies, literature, or any other aspect of 14th century culture are welcome.
Please send paper title, brief abstract, and, if possible, a completed "Abstract Cover Sheet" from the Congress Web site at . Your proposal must include contact information: both electronic and physical addresses. Deadline for proposals is September 15, 2007.
