The City of Cambridge Archives Board invites you to join them on Saturday October 27th, 2007 for History on the Grand, a one-day local history symposium being held at the University of Waterloo School of Architecture in Downtown Cambridge, Ontario.
We invite members of the academic community, historical and heritage groups and the general public who are interested in the history and heritage of the city and the surrounding area to explore some of the many issues arising from the study of local history and from efforts on behalf of historical preservation and the conservation of our built and natural heritage.
History on the Grand will feature several paper presentations on various aspects of local and public history, walking tours of the historic downtown Galt city core and a keynote speech by Dr. Kenneth McLaughlin, Chair of the History Department at St. Jerome’s College at the University of Waterloo.
