CALL FOR PAPERS – 10th ANNUAL CDAI GRADUATE STUDENT SYMPOSIUM
“Canada’s Security Interests – The Lessons of History”
26-27 October 2007

The 10th Annual Graduate Student Symposium, sponsored by the Conference of Defence Associations Institute (CDAI) in collaboration with Queen’s University, the War Studies Programme at the Royal Military College (RMC) of Canada, the Canadian Defence and Foreign Affairs Institute (CDFAI), the DND-funded SDF Programme, General Dynamics Canada, and David Scott, will be held at RMC in Kingston, Ontario, on 26-27 October 2007.
Individuals are invited to submit a one page (maximum) proposal synopsis to the CDAI Project Officer via projectofficer@cda-cdai.ca no later than 26 September 2007. Please include the title of your presentation, your full name, institutional affiliation, program of study, and full contact information (telephone number, email address, and mailing address)
The acceptable range of presentation topics includes: national security and defence; security and defence alliances, peace enforcement, and peace support operations; conflict resolution; security and defence related economics; intra-state conflict issues; and terrorism and other non-traditional threats to security.
The winning paper will be awarded the David Scott-GD Canada Prize, valued at $3000.00. The second and third place prizes are valued at $2000.00 and $1000.00.
Funding for student presenters may be made available, upon request, to assist with travel costs.
