Queer Theory and Becoming
NEMLA conference, Buffalo NY, April 10-13.
This panel seeks to articulate what is at stake in the recent turn to time in feminist and queer thinking. We will not only discuss representations of queer time-the deviations, divagations, resistances, incoherencies, and perversions of normative linear/reproductive temporality-but also consider queer theory as a theory of time and becoming. Approaches from a variety of critical, theoretical, political, historical, and cultural texts welcome.
