Essays in Honour of António Henrique de Oliveira Marques (1933-2007)
The Portuguese Studies Review (Vol. 16, Combined Issues 1 and 2) invites proposals for articles on any aspects of Portuguese history addressed in the works of the late António Henrique de Oliveria Marques.
The PSR publishes articles in English, Portuguese, Spanish, and French.
The papers will be published in Vol. 16, Issues 1 and 2 (Summer 2008),, under the editorship of Ivana Elbl and Martin Elbl (Trent University). The proposals should be no longer than 300-500 words and outline the theme, source base, and main contribution of the paper to the subject. Please, send the proposals and abridged CVs to Dr. Ivana Elbl (firstname.lastname@example.org).
The final deadline for proposals is 30 August 2007 (please e-mail the Editors for possible extension of deadline, if necessary). The completed papers should be 6,000-15,000 words long (documentation included) and should follow the PSR house style. The PSR is a refereed journal and follows a double-blind review process. The completed articles should reach the editors before 15 January 2008. The review process takes approximately two to three months. The authors will have approximately three weeks to revise their papers in response to the referees? comments. Final versions of the papers should reach the PSR by 15 May 2008. The issue will be published in August 2008.
