I am seeking contributors to “The Baby Boom Era,” a volume in ABC-Clio’s American Social History series. The series examines major events in U.S. history from the perspective of average Americans and is intended primarily for undergraduates. Each volume consists of “lively and anecdotal” chapters of 5,000 – 7,000 words focused on specific social groups, as well as a chronology, primary documents, a glossary, and an annotated bibliography.
The following subjects are available:
Women
African Americans
Hispanic Americans
Asian Americans
The “Other America” (the poor and impoverished)
The “Organization Man” (corporate men and women)
Suburbanites and Yuppies
If you are interested in writing one of these chapters, or would like further details about the project, please contact Rusty Monhollon (monhollon@hood.edu); please attach a c.v. Contributors will receive a modest stipend and a copy of the book.
