Third paper needed ASAP for a panel for the next Berkshire Conference on the History of Women (June 12-15, 2008 in Minneapolis). The two papers already chosen examine the meanings of miscarriage in 19th and 20th America. We are interested in another paper that deals with issues surrounding pregnancy and/or reproductive categories, particularly in the pre-modern or early-modern era.
Please send abstracts (200-400 words) to Shannon Withycombe at skwithycombe@wisc.edu.
