CALL FOR PAPERS
We invite paper proposals for the biennial conference of the Forum on European Expansion and Global Interaction (FEEGI) to be held at Georgetown University, Washington, DC on February 22-23, 2008. FEEGI, an AHA affiliate, is an international organization of scholars dedicated to encouraging scholarship and collaboration across the boundaries of national histories and disciplinary frameworks in the early modern period.
For the 2008 conference, we encourage work that engages the theme of “empire and identity” but we will consider individual and panel proposals on any theme in the fields of European expansion or global interaction from the fourteenth century to the middle of the nineteenth. FEEGI will provide partial subsidy to a limited number of graduate student presenters.
Send a 250-word abstract and an abbreviated c.v. by email or regular mail (in MS Word.doc format, four copies) by August 15, 2007 to: kars@umbc.edu
