Essays are needed for the volume, "The Roaring Twenties, Great Depression, and World War II, 1920-1945," which will be published in late 2008 as part of Facts on File's "Conflicts in American History" series. Each essay must cover a broadly defined area of political or cultural conflict in American history during the interwar years or World War II, and should be written for a target readership of AP high school students and college undergraduates. Each essay should be 2,000-3,000 words, and should be accompanied by a timeline and annotated bibliography.
If you would like to contribute an essay for this volume, please email Dr. Dan Williams (dkw@westga.edu) for submission guidelines and additional information. Each essay will be due three months after the author signs a contract to write on one of the assigned topics. Graduate students, professors at all levels, and independent scholars with graduate degrees are welcome to apply to write an essay for this volume. Authors will receive $250 per essay.
