Call for Articles
To commemorate the 40th anniversary of the 1968 Critique: Journal of Socialist Theory will be publishing a special issue dedicated to the events of 1968, its defeat, and its consequences. Critique is an independent, peer reviewed, academic journal founded in 1973. We are looking for high quality scholarly articles on or surrounding, but not limited to, the following topics:
* The historical significance of 1968
* The rise of the far left
* 1968 and the decline of Stalinism
* The social forces behind the movements of 1968
* Student protest movements
* French May
* American Civil Rights Movement
* The Black Panther’s movement in America
* Martin Luther King Jr’s assassination and subsequent riots
* German left wing movement
* Tlatelolco Massacre in Mexico City
* Enoch Powell and the Rise of the British right wing
* Vietnam War
* Prague Spring
Critique: Journal of Socialist Theory welcomes contributions covering any aspect of Marxist political economy, philosophy and history. Articles should not normally exceed 7-8,000 words in length. Articles must include an abstract of no more than 300 words and a maximum of 6 key words. Articles will not be considered for peer review unless they are complete with an abstract and key words.
