Articulations 2007 will be part conference and part workshop. The organizers wish to draw a group of scholars and artists from multiple disciplines to engage with the ideas of sustainability, performance, and the violence created by scholarly intervention. We conceive of performance scholarship as a sustainable practice. Scholarly inquiry extends and inevitably alters the ephemeral event by engaging with and re-thinking the conditions that make the performance possible.
