Alternate Routes is a refereed, multi-disciplinary journal published annually by graduate students from Carleton University’s Sociology & Anthropology department. As a peer-reviewed journal, AR provides an international forum for the presentation of original manuscripts written by graduate students. The editorial emphasis is on the publication of critical analyses of theoretical and substantive contemporary issues. We also welcome commentary and reviews of recent publications, works in progress and perspective pieces.
