The Journal of Pan African Studies (www.jpanafrican.com) welcomes papers for a March 2008 special edition on the dynamics of Africology (Pan African, African American, Black, Afro-American, African Diaspora Studies) in academia, focused on: (but not limited to) its intellectual influences, theory-practice formation, challenges, nomenclature, research methods, and assumptions. We will also accept book reviews of recent and new publications within Africology (Pan African, African American, Black, Afro-American, African Diaspora Studies).
The selection criteria will involve: relevance to theme, clarity of paper, intellectual significance, and originality. Participants must send a 50 word abstract by September 2007, and their paper by December 2007 (the paper and abstract must include participant name, affiliation, paper title, and e-mail address) to the editor(s) at www.jpanafrican.com. The paper should not exceed 20 pages via MS word. Notification of acceptance will be provided at least 30 days after receipt of abstract/paper.
