The Western Social Science Association (WSSA)invites papers and panels on a wide range of topics in American Studies for its 50th annual conference, 23-26 April 2008, in Denver, Colorado.
The WSSA’s annual conference assembles panels in over 30 academic fields. The American Studies section of the conference ranges broadly over the arts, humanities, and social sciences, welcoming submissions over a wide range of subjects.

For half a century, the Western Social Science Association has committed itself to multi-disciplinary and interdisciplinary scholarship, service, and collegiality. The WSSA advances scholarship, teaching, service and professional exchange across academic disciplines. The organization publishes The Social Science Journal, a quarterly research journal.
