I'm looking to form a 3-4 person panel on public perceptions of women at the turn of the 20th century for this conference. My work looks at the chilly reception social work received in the period as a product of negative popular perceptions, communicated in mass periodicals, of women as professionals. If you have a complimentary paper in mind and are interested in forming a panel, let me know.
