50th anniversary The Midwest Quarterly

For its 50th anniversary in 2009, this peer-reviewed journal seeks essays looking back over the past five decades of scholarship in all disciplines. The Midwest Quarterly circulates to a cross-section of academics, not specialists, so essays should be broad in scope, significance, and appeal. Indicate interest and possible topic(s) in an email or letter to the editor; submissions must be received by August 2008 to allow time for revision. These essays will appear in the fall 2009 issue and, if submissions warrant, subsequent issues.
