FIRST ANNOUNCEMENT AND CALL FOR PANEL PROPOSALS
The Academic Council on Problems of African Countries and the Institute for African Studies, Russian Academy of Sciences, are organizing in Moscow on May 22-24, 2008 the 11th Conference of Africanists titled "Africa's Development: Possibilities and Constraints".
The immediate objective of the Conference is to discuss Africa's development in civilisational, political, economic, social, cultural, historical, anthropological, gender, linguistic and other aspects.
The Organising Committee will be glad to consider any the panel proposals (within 500 words in English) which will be received by May 15, 2007. The information to be submitted alongside with the proposal includes the supposed panel convenor's full name, title, institutional affiliation, full mail and e-mail addresses and fax #, as well as names, institutional affiliations, and e-mail addresses of not less than four other possible participants of the panel.
