Rural Gender History Group
In January 2007 academics with expertise on rural gender history decided to establish an informal international e-mail group. This initiative was taken in England during the Inter War Rural History Research Conference. The main aim of the group is to support the advancement, visibility and mainstreaming of this field internationally by facilitating expert exchange and cooperation among academics. It is hoped that the email group will facilitate other opportunities for academics to meet and share research. The group does not intend to duplicate the activities of other groups interested in rural gender history and will support cooperation where possible.
The e-mail group is open to all post graduates and academics from all disciplines working on rural gender history. You can express your interest for participation by sending your name and relevant background information to Anne Meredith (Anne.Meredith@ntlworld.com).
