Panel Title: Zombies, Witches, and Others: Representations of Labor, Money, and Modernity

This panel for the AAA seeks papers that critically engage and analyze the circulation and proliferation of stories about zombies, witches, vampires, and other monsters in everyday talk and public discourse. Papers should broadly engage themes of political economy, analyzing accounts about zombies, witches, and others in terms of flows of people, resources, technology, and capital. Papers examining contemporary and historical accounts are welcome.
