In recent years analysis of school education, pluralism and marginality in plural democracies has moved into new territory. The forthcoming conference is our humble step towards building a forum for examining the problems and comparative analysis of issues that arise in teaching and learning in a plural democratic society. The following broader themes are being considered:

Home, School and Community
Theme 3
Textbook, Teaching Medium and Method of Teaching
Theme 4
Caste, Class, Race, Gender and Classroom
Theme 5
Knowledge of the Oppressed, Power and School
Research papers of publishable quality focusing on the above themes are invited form young and established scholars which will be chosen for presentation and intensive discussion in the conference. Authors are invited to submit abstracts (in English) of no more than 500 words with cv.
