The newly reconstituted California World History Association invites proposals for presentations from scholars and teachers for its first annual conference to be held on the campus of California State University, Fullerton 16 &17 November 2007. Proposals dealing with our general theme, 'Connecting Time, Space, and History,' should include a tentative title and a brief (150 word) description of the topic. Presentations can be in the form of academic papers, presentations and/or panel discussions, and although we encourage proposals for complete sessions (about 90 minutes each), individual proposals are welcome as well. Presentations and panels can focus on research or teaching world history, and teaching panels on K-12 education as well as undergraduate and graduate education are welcome. Proposals for complete panels should include brief descriptions for each paper or presentation included in the panel. Any technological needs (LED projector, overhead, screen, A/V) should be requested in the proposal's cover letter.
Send proposals and brief (1 page) CV for each presenter to:
Sharlene Sayegh, Secretary CWHA Steering Committee
Department of History
