Call for Papers:
The Journal of East Tennessee History (JETH) is an annual publication of the East Tennessee Historical Society. First published in 1929, JETH is a refereed, scholarly journal that seeks to promote an interest in and appreciation of the history and heritage of East Tennessee, the state of Tennessee, the Southern Appalachians, and the South in general. JETH encourages the submission of original manuscripts that relate to any of these areas. Manuscripts should be double-spaced, including footnotes and indented quotations. Notes should appear at the end of the text. Footnote form and other matters of style should conform to the Chicago Manual of Style. The author's name should appear only on a separate title page. Please submit two copies of the manuscript. All manuscripts and correspondence concerning the Journal should be addressed to:
