Two edited volumes on new perspectives on Indian diaspora are planned for 2008. Both books are an attempt to chart a new way forward for the study of the Indian diaspora in the 21st century. A reputable academic press will publish both works. Contributors to the volume will explore overlooked topics and provide revisionist perspectives to complement the existing historiography.
The areas to be examined include ideology, military, media, health, politics, religion, academia, culture, literature, migration, protests, business, gender, technology, sport, trade unionism, indentureship and architecture.
Interested persons are invited to send a 250 word proposal and current cv to the below e-mail address.
Articles should not exceed 30 pages (double-spaced), include endnotes and adhere to the latest MLA style. The format is Microsoft Word.
