Suzanne Staubach, UConn Co-op
Sunday, March 25, 3 pm
Biological Sciences and Physics Building, Room 130
No Registration Needed - Free
Suzanne Staubach is a master potter and writer who combined her knowledge in both areas to produce her 2005 book, Clay: The History and Evolution of Humankind’s Relationship with Earth’s Most Primal Element. She will give us insight into the ways the humble mud beneath our feet has been and continues to be crucial to human societies. Join us for this look at the role clay had in the shaping of civilization, and the many surprising ways in which we continue to depend upon it daily. There will be a book signing afterwards.
