Call for Papers
for the annual conference of the American Academy of Religion (AAR) to take place November 17-20, 2007 in sunny San Diego, California.
I am looking for others to collaborate in putting together a panel.
Possible subject areas:
Nature and Normalcy in Debates about Religious, Sexual and Gender Identity
Genitalia and Identity
Comparisons of Intersexuality and Inter-religiosity
Comparative Approaches to Circumcision
This could be submitted to any of the following groups/units/consultations:
*Science, Technology, and Religion Group
*Religion and Sexuality Group
*Bioethics and Religion
If you're interested, please send me your name, a short bio, a 150-word abstract and a 1000-word proposal.
The title of my paper is "Not So Cut and Dry: Nature and Normalcy in Debates on Neonatal Circumcision and Neonatal Intersex Genital Surgery."

Deadline for Conference submission is March 1, so we will need to collaborate before then.
