Professors who teach Tocqueville's "Democracy in America" are invited to apply for a two-week summer institute, funded by the National Endowment for the Humanities. The Institute, to be held June 18-29, 2007 at Bethel University in St. Paul, MN, will feature major Tocqueville scholars and will address issues of equality, race, individualism, and social capital.
