Whether it is “divided government,” “real-politick,” or the reemergence of the American downtown,
Everything “old” seems to be “new” again. Using this broad theme, a call for papers to
the 2007 Georgia Political Science Association is issued—proposals need not address the theme
to be selected. Teaching faculty, graduate students, and advanced undergraduate students are
encouraged to submit research for discussion and review at the 39th annual conference to be
held at the Doubletree Hotel in Savannah in November 2007. Papers are accepted from all
fields of Political Science as well as related disciplines. Scholars and faculty can choose to submit
their presented papers for consideration for publication in our edited and refereed annual
proceedings published online each year with the best paper selected for the McBrayer Award
with a $500 cash prize attached. Undergraduate research nominated by member faculty can be
considered for the annual Pajari award.
The deadline for submission is July 1, 2007. Acceptances are offered on a rolling basis with
panels organized no later than September 1, 2007.
Send your paper and panel proposals to Dr. Chris Grant of Mercer University—the
2007 program chair. Electronically submitted proposals
are preferred. Volunteers for discussant and chair roles are also welcome.
