'Gardening: Histories of Horticultural Practice,' a conference on the history of gardening, will be held on 15-17 March 2007, at the Kelvingrove Museum in Glasgow, Scotland.
Topics to be explored include the acquisition, categorization, and use of plants; the training and careers of both professional and amateur gardeners; gardening in domestic and public contexts; and the intersection of gardening with social categories such as gender and class.
