I am seeking an additional paper for a panel on citizenship, race, and diagnosis/treatment of mental illness in the United States, to be presented at the 2008 annual meeting of the American Historical Association. The current papers focus on twentieth century government institutions, but discussions of psychiatry, institutions, and/or definition of mental health and illness are all possibilities.
