BC Studies and People of the River Conference invite you to attend an international conference entitled "British Columbia: Inner and Outer Worlds"
April 27-29, 2007 at Harrison Hot Springs, British Columbia, Canada
This multi-disciplinary conference will be a venue for exploring diverse manifestations of British Columbia and British Columbians.
The conference organizers are pleased to feature keynote speaker Hugh Brody, Canada Research Chair in Aboriginal Studies, an internationally recognized scholar, anthropologist, film-maker and writer, known for his work documenting the world views of indigenous hunter/gatherer societies.
A Plenary Session will be held to honor Dr. Cole Harris, Canada's leading historical geographer. He is the editor of the three volume magisterial "Historical Atlas of Canada", which won the Canadian Historical Association's prize for the best book in Canadian History.
